Favourite destinations inside a 90 minute drive from Cork City:
1} Co Kerry (near Killarney) with its rugged landscape and highest mountains
2) West Cork (Sheep’s Head & the Beara) with great sea views,wild and most remote locations.
3) Co Tipperary (Galtee & Knockmealdown mountains) with its grassy, peaty and high rounded landscape and expansive views.
4) Co. Waterford (Comeragh mountains) having a mixture of all the above.

Further away:
Connemara… also has some magnificent walking and hiking trails!

Planning to explore the Beara Peninsula (parts not done) this June (2017) and then the Dingle Peninsula the next chance I get.

All walks (so far) end where they started (looped) and often take longer than they should... that's because of the many stops along the way to take in the view...
