🇪🇸 Español: Vía ferrata Peña del Cid, de nivel K4, situada en la localidad de Libros, en Teruel.

Libros es un pequeño pueblo a 30min de Teruel ciudad. Para realizar las vías ferrata de Libros, lo mejor es aparcar en la Plaza Mayor. Allí encontrarás los carteles informativos de estas actividades. La aproximación hasta la vía ferrata Peña del Cid es de 20min más o menos. La mayor parte se hace por pista y hay carteles que indican el inicio de la vía ferrata.

La vía ferrata en sí está muy chula pero exigente. Es una K4 en toda regla, que incluye desplomes, pasos técnicos, requiere fuerza en los brazos y el paso por el agujero corona esta vía ferrata. Es dura durante todo el recorrido. Hay varias reuniones para bajar en rapel si necesitan escapar durante la subida. Tras pasar el agujero, hay un tramo por cresta, es impresionante y puede dar mucho vértigo ya que es un tramo muy expuesto. Tras pasar la cresta empezamos a bajar, o por peldaños o en rapel (3 rapeles de 20m).

Un cartel informativo está puesto justo al inicio de la vía ferrata. Te explica muy bien el desarrollo de la vía ferrata.

Disfrutamos mucho esta vía ferrata. Es una K4, exigente, no apta para principiantes. La combinamos con la vía ferrata Peña Grajera (K3): https://es.wikiloc.com/rutas-via-ferrata/via-ferrata-pena-grajera-k3-libros-teruel-166274683. En un día se puede hacer fácilmente las dos.

Libros is a small village 30 minutes from the city of Teruel. The best way to get to the via ferrata in Libros is to park at Plaza Mayor. There you will find the signs for this activity. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the via ferrata Peña del Cid.Most of the route is on a track and there are signs indicating the start of the via ferrata.

The via ferrata itself is quite fun but demanding. It is a true K4 with overhangs, technical passes, requires strength in the arms and the passage through the hole that crowns this via ferrata. It is hard the whole way through. There are several points where you can rappel down if you need to escape on the way up. After the hole there is a section along the ridge, it is impressive and can be very dizzying as it is a very exposed section. Once you have crossed the ridge, you start to descend, either by steps or by rappeling (3 rappels of about 20m each).
At the beginning of the via ferrata there is an information board that explains the development of the via ferrata.
