Descrição do itinerário
We started at Tannourine El Tahta. We climbed the stairs (first waypoint) and followed a "red-blue" trail that leads to the end of Wadi Ain el Ra7a.
At the point "we left the blue-red trail", we left this trail. The initial idea was to connect to the LMT that was passing few meters above the blue-red trail. But we wanted to have some fun and we continued climbing till we were just underneath the cliff (chir el Rebezeh).
I do not recommend to follow this part of my trail unless you are an experienced hiker. Instead, continue on the LMT (which is few meters below my waypoint "under the cliff"). We were walking around 50 to 100 meters above the LMT underneath the cliffs.
At the point "back to LMT" , we returned back on the LMT that we followed till the main square of Tannourine el Fawqa.
We continued following the LMT will the point "leave the LMT". At that point, take the trail on the right.
After 1 or 2 km the trail, we passed in front of a chicken coop. Pass next to it (not over it nor under it). The trail is not clear in this part. Follow a water channel.
After 100 to 200 meters, the trail is clearer again.
It is a stunning hike with incredible sceneries (water, cliffs, narrow trail, churches....). Please note that out of the 19km, there were approximately 3 km on asphalt.
P.S: Although the elevation gain shown was almost the same as the elevation shown with the trail recorded by another person (both on wikiloc recorded), i do not think it is correct. My watch was showing 251 floors which is the equivalent of approximately 850m. I feel this is more accurate.

I really liked this hike. Highlights: easy wayfinding on the Hermitage Trail, LMT and part of the Mill Trail. Exceptional views of Tannourine and adjacent mountains and valleys. Elevation gains are not as strenuous as the elevation map makes them out to be. You’ll climb but not at as intense of grades as you’d imagine while looking at that graphic. Cons: lost the trail a few times, there is a bit of cross county travel to connect the 2 trails and the last 1.5 km while on the trail is fairly overgrown. Overall great use of a day! Lots of exposed sections, bring a hat. 🙂
