Starts at the Market Crossing shopping mall. Passing Riverway Golf Course the track has become out of date, as the golf club may prevent access to the designated paths along the fairway areas, due to lack of consideration of pedestrians, and golfer conflicts.
Done in winter with wind and occasional rain; small streams draining to the Fraser River are in flood.
The turn around is at Romers Hamburgers, at the foot of Kerr St. The summer craft market was a draw here at the time of the track, but has subsequently been cancelled due to adjoining resident parking complaints. Can cut distance in half if being met by car at Romers.

This is a bicycle trail on Google but since golfing development bicycles invite major conflict! Also there is conflict now between golfers and walkers due to lack of attention and consideration. There was an alternative "South Path" just south of the railway, however, this has also been torn up by new commercial development activity.
In the future it is hoped a new walking route will become available through this area.
Winter birds on and near fairways, some flooding. Bufflehead duck, Great Blue Herons abundant. The golf club now frowns on use of the designated trails and conflict may arise. As mentioned in the introduction, the track has become out of date and is for historical reference.

May, 2016. Alternate trail south of golf course along south side of canal is blocked by major construction. Hopefully an upgraded path is in the future plan here, as it would link many established trail segments.
