This is a pleasant, but not very interesting, trail. I hiked it because it was the last one in this part of the Olympic National Forest that I hadn't hiked yet, so I was filling in a blank spot on the map. The trail was in better condition than I'd expected. It's open to motorcycles, mountain bikes, horses, and hikers, so I was expecting a pretty rutted, widened trail. As it turned out, the trail was in fine shape, with ruts in only a few places, and looks like any other hiking trail. On a Friday, I saw only one other person, a lone mountain biker. The trail had recently been logged out, and was completely free of blowdowns. The trail mostly goes through young, even-age second-growth forest. There are a few partial views across the Dungeness Valley to Tyler Peak.
