This is a great network of trails my friend Bob showed me. Nice and easy but beautiful and tons of side trials that branch off. Well worth the drive and Chute Lake Lodge is imperative. It was amazing.

Love this road, we've done it a few times. Yes, Chute Lake Lodge is incredible, one man's personal museum chock full of old stuff. The cinnamon buns in the little coffee shop are awesome too. Then you end up in Naramata wine country at the south end - what could be better?

Summer is here. Hope a few people get to enjoy this trail and all the runs it has off the trails.

I'm wanting to do this trail this summer. Just a few questions if someone can help me out. I was thinking of staying in Kelowna and doing this trail. Is there access to this trail from Kelowna? I don't know the area well at all 🙁. Thanks

There definitely is access from the Kelowna side. I've done it before but unfortunately can't remember the name of the street you take to access it offhand. I'm sure someone will chime in that knows the name.

It may just be called chute lake road

Go around to the eastern side of Okanagan Lake on the Kelowna end to Pandosy Street, on to Lakeshore Drive which takes you to Chute Lake Road.

Thank you very much!

There's such a network of roads on the Kelowna end that it's easy to get lost. But that's just another adventure!

Absolutely is, but thanks for letting me know.

I'm new to Jeeps. How is this trail for a stock Sahara Unlimited?

Piece of cake, AndreDD! We've done it in pickups and our Jeep Patriot. There's a few gnarly spots (particularly if you get lost) but the main part of Chute Lake Rd is just fine. Enjoy!

I used to live in the Okanagan and I loved this backroad shortcut between Naramata and Kelowna. I'm going back up in June and plan to run this route again and some of the other trails in the area. It can be a bit treacherous in areas when there is snow on the ground and some trails are just falling apart but if you like to Jeep it there's lots of ways you can break stuff.
