Recommended period: from March to October (depending on the presence of snow).
Anyway it's feasible even in presence of snow during winter for expert bikers.
Possibility of intermediate break at China Vasaloppet Museum, at Die Backstube German restaurant.
Recommended helmet, and mobile phone in case of emergency.
