Hi all,

I'm fairly new to Wikiloc, so I apologize beforehand if my question has already been asked...
And yes, I took the time to search, but couldn't find any useful answer to my question, so here it is:

I'm creating tracks offline and using Wikiloc only to publish and share them
Currently, I'm working on 3 different projects: a one week hike in the Alps and 2 series of 5 trails in my area
In order to have things more or less properly organised, I have added them all to lists, but I find this "slightly" weak because the default display in "Your trails" still shows all my tracks in a (too) long list, without any decent organisation

Ideally, I would like to display them pretty much like if they were in folders
I guess that the folder option is not possible, but is there any possibility improve the display so that not all trails are systematically displayed?

Thanks!

Hello, pderwael.

As far as I know, you can organize your trails using the following tools:
  1. Making a Wikiloc group. I don't use this method for the reasons said in the point 3 link.
  2. Assigning tags. Useful only for the publisher of the routes because the other users don't know the set of tags used.
  3. Publishing an user catalog.
  4. If you are a premium user, using lists.
As you have already tried the lists, prove the 1 and 3 options.

Best regards.

Ola!

I'm sorry to say that my Spanish stops here (with gracias, si, no & cerveza!)

Thanks a bunch for your answers. I have checked them all and:

1. The groups are indeed not an option because of the data loss (waypoints)
2. Tags do not help the reader (which is my primary purpose for using Wikiloc)
4. Lists are just useless as you cannot group by list
3. User catalog might be an option.
The only thing I need is an easy to use and dynamic portal to share tracks by project with friends
In other words, I would much prefer spending time by designing trails (and being on the trail) rather by spending/wasting time doing web design
I need to give it a try and to balance time investment & result

By the way, is there any applicatiopn designer on the forum? Any official way to register evolution requests?

Thanks a lot anyway!
